Beauty Post : Semi Permanent Polish at Ayur Veda

I’ve written about the beauty parlour Ayur Veda before, I regularly go there for eyebrow threading. Recently, Dorianne the owner invited me to try their semi-permanent manicures. I’ve had semi-permanent polish done before and I’ve always had a bit of a love-hate relationship with it, I love the fact that I get approx 4 weeks of lovely nails but I’ve always felt that the removal and application of the product weakens my nails. I also hate the fact that if push comes to shove, removing it yourself is not an easy task
However, I decided to give it a go..the manicurist at the shop is lovely and very very talented..she loves original nails so we are a good match, I asked her for a wave design with two colours, inspired by New York Fashion Week.
The polish lasted over three weeks without a single chip, after three weeks had passed I decided to have it reapplied, I probably could have waited until the 4 week mark but I was a bit afraid that they would suddenly all chip at once and since my brother’s wedding was coming up in a few days,  I didn’t want to risk it.
Here are some photos taken at different stages throughout the 3 week period. I got them done on 1/10/13.

I decided to have the polish reapplied, using red and electric blue colours…not sure yet whether this is just a short term phase or something I plan on keeping up..time will tell.
