Shopping Post : Keeping the Men Warm

I make no secret of the fact that I feel cold, I like to joke that in Winter you have to search for me buried under a number of scarves, cardigans, polo necks and jackets; the truth is I like to feel warm and cosy and HATE feeling cold so I pile on the layers until I’m happy and all trussed up and feeling like a snowman..hey nothing for some Christmas spirit right?
Now, I know a lot of women who share my sentiments, I’d say the majority of my female friends also feel quite cold but when it comes to the men..now herein lies the difference..many men like to claim that they don’t feel cold, that they don’t need to wear jackets, that they can run around in Winter with a t-shirt; some of them do, my hubby is a case in point. The truth is I’m a bit skeptical..whilst I think in general many men do feel less cold than many women, I also think that men take it a bit further and see not feeling cold as an achievement, a manly thing of sorts..my opinion is that a lot of men actually feel a lot colder than they let on.
With this in mind, I think ALL men should own at least a nice coat and an anorak; ideally more than one of each but we’re talking minimums here. What’s more, they should be made to wear them, irrespective of their claims, first off jackets and coats look nice in Winter, secondly they’re probably colder than they should be whatever they say.
Now most males I know favour quality way more than quantity so lets take a trip to Tommy Hilfiger; the brand is quite renowned for high quality jackets and coats.

A classic blue coat from Tommy Hilfger is something that will last for many, many years, this cost per wear idea should appeal to those men that see shopping as a waste of money. For those men who do enjoy shopping than this should be a no-brainer and they should immediately fall in love with this coat just like I did. In this outfit, I’ve dressed it down, pairing it with jeans a and a coloured v-neck sweater but it can easily be smartened up with a nice shirt and smarter pair of trousers, you can also add a blazer or thick cardigan for extra warmth.

Although our Maltese Winters are shorter than those of most other countries, they are unfortunately quite wet and also our rains resemble tropical downpours which makes an anorak a necessity. A plain blue one will also last for yonks. It can be worn with many different colour combinations and even paired with a shirt for a smarter look.
For those men who need to keep warm, or those women who have male lesser halves that do, in Malta, Tommy Hilfiger Stores can be found in Baystreet Shoppnig Complex Paceville and in Valletta.Hilfiger Denim Stores can be found at The Point and in also Valletta (in Valletta same store as Tommy Hilfiger – basement level).
Because they keep up with the times and all that, they have a facebook page right here.
