London Fashion Week : Burberry

The Burberry show is one of the main events at London Fashion Week. The setup was beautiful in the middle of Kensington Gardens. The collection for next summer is very fresh, quite different to what Burberry’s traditional pieces used to be – a lot more street style, somewhat younger-looking, somewhat more trendy – some pieces seem almost more in line with their Brit line. Interestingly enough, the collection is also not necessarily a summer collection per se, it seems to be a mix of different seasons with various pieces being able to transcend from one season into another. A 32 piece orchestra accompanied Alison Moyet as models walked down the catwalk.

The must-have item will most definitely be the gabardine backpack names The Rucksack. Their jackets and coats were very strong as always – adore the one in the picture below. Then there were the beautiful patterns of course and the stunning elaborate dresses. A lovely, strong collection.
