Phoebe English presented her SS16 collection at the Committee Room at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. The collection is made up of pieces that explore movement, displacement and chaotic optimism and the progression of one thing into another’.
Velvet is always welcome but when presented in fiery pops of red velvet against a backdrop of muted monochrome colours, it is even more thrilling. Asymmetric dresses, patched skirts, linen pleats were presented throughout the collection, each element giving off a sense of dishevelment that is ‘kept together’ by mere strings.
