Beauty : Ericson Laboratoire & the Meso-Vit

Whilst I call myself a self-confessed product junkie, it’s mainly related to makeup and hair products. Truth be told, when it comes to skincare, I’m actually rather hesitant and cautious to try new products. Having been lucky enough to escape teenage acne, I’ve always been terrified that a new product will cause a reaction and somehow  result in an onset of delayed acne.
When Ericson Laboratoire in Malta approached me and suggested a collaboration, my first reaction was to say ‘no thanks’, after all, I had only recently purchased a full order of my then favourite skincare brand. I decided to research the brand online and the material I found seemed detailed and very professional,  the approach seemed almost medical rather than just cosmetic.

When I met with the brand owners, they seemed so confident and proud of their product – I was intrigued, they wanted to introduce me to this brand not only in terms of product usage but also to experience one of the 14 facials offered by Ericson Laboratoire every month. Since I’m writing this post, I obviously bit the bullet and plunged ahead.
The philosophy behind the Botu-VIP line is THE EFFECT OF INJECTIONS, WITHOUT ANY RISKS, the idea is that after the ripe old age of 25, our skin starts to lose its elasticity and its natural ability to relax. This means frown lines and thought creases start to deepen and form permanent marks. This line of skincare was specially created to release tension in the skin and smoothen it out.
I have been using this product for about four weeks now and not only did I have no reactions and no pimples appeared but my skin seems perfectly satisfied. The moisturiser is not greasy or heavy, this makes it ideal to be worn under makeup every morning. For dry skin it would be necessary/ideal to also apply a serum underneath it at night. It is too early to say whether or not it has had an effect at smoothening out my skin and to be perfectly honest I’m not sure if I would realise – thankfully, as of yet I don’t have deep wrinkles that I study each night.
Last week, I also had my first Ericson facial at the Beauty Team Salon in Malta – the meso-vit which is a deep cleansing, skin rejuvenating facial. I have had good facials in the past but this one really took the cake – it was incredible. I woke up the next morning and spent a good 5 minutes looking at my flawless skin in the mirror.

The facial included cleansing, exfoliation, massage, serum application and the very interesting micro-pick massage which smoothens out the skin and aims to release imperfections like pigmentation, blemishes, scars.
Whilst I could try to deliver the science behind this facial in my own words, something tells me you’re better off reading it for yourselves – so here are some photos.
