MAC & HAPPINESS

As the title implies, this post is partly about MAC Cosmetics. I’ve been a loyal buyer of MAC makeup for about 15 years now. Back then travelling was limited to about once per year – I remember printing the location of the Mac stores before leaving – after all this was before the days of GPS. Fast forward a few years and this year MAC has finally opened stores in Malta. The happiness part of my title relates to these fabulous earrings which were sent to me from this great store – Happiness Boutique – they have lots of great pieces, but these marble beauties were my top choice.

Back to makeup, last week, two senior artists from the Milan Division visited our island and they invited me over for a brilliant press lunch (yummy Electro Lobster) and a makeup session. The makeup was applied by Roberta Bettis under the direction of Michele Magnani. The look he decided on was coincidentally inspired by the Elisabetta Franchi A/W 15 show at Milan Fashion Week ·(he had been responsible for the makeup for that show).

Lobster Pancake at Electro Lobster

That same day, I booked the hubby in to shoot some studio photos of the look and he decided to combine this with a black and white portraiture session – he’s been delving into black & white portraiture lately, you can read more about this on his blog here.
