LFW : Backstage with Toni&Guy at Paul Costelloe

This is my 4th season covering the Paul Costelloe show and I was really quite taken aback when I walked backstage and saw these hair looks. The previous seasons always had classical vintage-inspired looks, sometimes using bee hives or something along those lines. This is quite a step away – quite a dishevvled, messy look.

The inspiration for the show was that of a warrion wandering throguh the Sahara deset who ends up with rather gritty hair.
To create the look the hair was prepped with label.m volume mousse and a scrunch / blast dry using a label.m Tourmaline Dryer. Next, the side areas are pulled back and worked into a fish tail braid, the hair was braided until half way down. The top area was then back combed and mounded into shape and Texturising Volume Spray was then applied to enhance texture. The finishing product was my fave one – the label.m Sea Salt Spray. This was applied to the hairline to create contrast.
The team was led by 2015 London Hairdresser of Year Cos Sakkas. Makeup was done by Academy of Freelance Makup Artists.

Some more pics from this incredible show. Absolutely loved the different textures in this collection.
