I won’t lie, the last month has really made up for the stress of the previous 5 1/2 months, I’ve really found time to relax and do all the things I love, like organise my wardrobe, read, spend time with family and so on. Last weekend was truly wonderful – we spent a weekend in Gozo and we stayed at Kempinski Hotel. In May, I had been invited to their 120 years celebration and they had held a social media photo competition. The hubby won first prize which was 2 nights in a suite – perfect timing for June!.

On arrival, we found this in the room – the cake even has the Insta logo!. We were pigs and ate that on the first afternoon but honestly, it was one of the best chocolate cakes I’ve ever eaten and I’ve devoured plenty.

The hotel is beautiful, staying there feels like you’ve travelled to an exotic location and it is so quite, even though the hotel was full, it felt like it was empty, even the pool areas felt peaceful and there seemed to be so much space everywhere.
