Red is this Winter’s colour, there’s no doubt about that, red shoes, red bags. I’ve actually never been a red gal, so much so that when I turned 17 my mother gave me a beautiful necklace attached to a red leather chain and I practically never wore it. Red just never really did it for me.
I know I shouldn’t just change my mind because of trends but the thing is, when you start seeing Instagram photos everywhere, beautiful red boots and bags…you start re-thinking things. Then I spotted this dress at Pedro del Hierro – it’s a bright orange colour that perfectly matched my mood at yesterday’s wedding. It had been a long week and I couldn’t wait to get out and relax and have some fun which meant I wanted to enjoy the drinks, the food and feel good. The dress is comfortable, fitted but not too fitted, elegant without being too flamboyant, the ruffle at the side and back cleavage are just superb.
I left both my makeup and my hairstyle somewhat simple – straight hair and a slight winged eyeliner. A dress like this doesn’t need much else, I added a touch of gold jewellery and off I went.
