First of all, let’s start with a brief lowdown – What is TD PLUS? TD Plus is a the public transport service you’ve always wanted! The service was launched in 2019 and can be used through the Tallinja App on both iOS and Android. In a nutshell, simply select which bus stop you wish to be picked up from and dropped off at, the time and voila, you’re all set.
1. The Driver Knows Your Name
Not only do you have a guaranteed reserved seat on the bus but the driver greets you personally when you step on the bus – how’s that for good service ?
2. The Seats are Comfy Comfy
There’s nothing worse than sitting on a bus and feeling hot and stuck to the seat or feeling like every jolt went straight to your back – these seats are plush and comfy enough to relax into.
2. WIFI & Charging Ports
Let’s stop pretending otherwise, we are all equally addicted to our phones, whether it that all-important business email or the latest X Factor gossip on social media, TD Plus will NOT ONLY keep you connected to life but will also allow you to top up your battery to ensure life can continue.
3. You Pay Online
Worst nightmare, the bus arrives, you forgot your tallinja card and you have no cash – noooo. You pay for your TD Plus service through the app (tallinja card credit or credit card) when you book so there’s no last minute fumbling and no out of cash possibilities.
4. From 5.30 am till Midnight
The service operates across a wide range of hours meaning you can use it for your ride to the office, your ride to the pub or even to the pastizzi shop for 11 p.m. cravings satisfaction
5. Your Friends Pay Less
Life is more fun with friends and family right? Each ride is 2 euros but additional passengers only pay 1 euro.
TD Plus is currently operating between Valletta and Pembroke, including St. Julian’s, Swieqi, San Ġwann, Sliema, Msida, Pieta and Floriana.
