5 Jewellery & Accessory Trends for 2020

I’ve always been an accessory lover, it’s the one section of luxury sites I tend to visit most not to mention the fact that I seem to buy a new hat each time I travel. Over the past few months though I’ve been truly bitten by what I am now calling ‘the jewellery bug’. I just feel like I crave more of it. I think I do know the reason – it’s because BIG is back and well we all know I do have a bit of a penchant for ‘the extra’ side of life.

Since I’ve started to get a bit fed up of modelling and taking self portraits and also because I really do think you guys tend to get too many photos of my silly face, I’ve scoured the insta feeds and fashion week corners to show you the ultimate trends for now and the next few months. 1. The xxChain

Yup – big is back and no one seems to be doing it better than Bottega Veneta. The pouch that was such a hit last season is now transforming into a grown up version complete with chain. This is literally my dream bag.

If you thought this was enough – guess again! That ‘little’ bag needs a jewellery twin and it comes in the form of this stunning beauty.

If you’re able to justify the splurge on both of those items in one instant purchase, I claim finder rights that allow borrowing for petting purposes.

2. Pearls & Gold – The Union

In the last years pearls got an unfair rep and placement as something only ‘older’, ‘boring’ women wore. The new methods of pairing gold and baroque pearls together, often mixing with interesting chains and links is changing the way in which we look at pearls. 3. The Sunglasses Chain

Ok maybe I will allow one photo of mine here. The sunglasses chain has been inching towards a comeback for at least 3 years but this summer it finally took off- yes I mean finally, for once it even has a practical use, let’s all stop ruining our sunglasses by carrying and subsequently dropping them off our heads. This chain is such a better idea and look at them – aren’t they simply gloriously extra?

4. The Mobile Case

Why put your phone in your handbag only to bring it out 2 minutes later to check if life has changed? Might as well just hand it from your neck. Let’s give a warm welcome to this new form of support and reinforcement of this century’s of anti-social behaviour by focusing our time and energy in the right way.

5. The Airpods Case

Just in case the above wasn’t enough, we really can’t bear the thought of having to listen to what’s going on around us ehich might happen if lo and behold we forget our airpods. Don’t worry there’s a new accessory to the rescue.
