il-Klikka Spotlight : Interview with Laura Vella aka Veronica Degiorgio

In the lead up to the big season finale of the Maltese TV series il-Klikka, (for which I am the stylist), which is happening at the cinema, I have decided to start a series of interviews with the actors and actresses of the main characters of the il-Klikka series .
We start with actress Laura Vella aka Veronica Degiorgio (as she is known on il-klikka)

So, who is Laura Vella?
I am 26 I live in Swieqi I am the youngest of 3 siblings, I am a social worker by profession, however I work in HR 🙂 oh and I am Veronica Degorgio on KLIKKA!!!
When did your interest in acting first begin?
I think deep down I always loved it. I would make up plays for my parents at home and joke around imitating people, answering the phone in several languages and accents for fun…. But the want to be on TV came following a small acting gig on a program called Dellijiet!
Was il-Klikka your first part in a local television series?
You can say so yes.. Dellijiet was only like a 10min scene hehe
What inspires you? Is there anyone or anything that you feel has influenced your acting style?
Well I am inspired by life in general… Anything fun and different I just wanna do it! My acting style.. I don’t think it has been inspired really … It was more a situation of understanding the character as I went along and became her on set… But I do love Jennifer Aniston and Charlize Theron.
What has been your proudest career moment?
Hmmmm assuming you are referring to acting… this is a tough one every episode has its moments but I think the proudest moment was when I was asked to present a BMA and when I was invited to the silent march against domestic violence (girl guides)
Describe your favourite scene from these two seasons of il-Klikka?
My very first scene at the bar with the girls!! The energy was so high!! And when I told Louis off for interrupting me!! Girl power full on hahhaha
Your character is quite a stylish girl – would you call yourself a fashionable girl in real life? How would you describe your style?
I think I am pretty fashionable … I love to shop!!! That’s a problem.. I think I am conservative in my style but at times I do take risks and play around with different styles and colours
Plans for 2013?
I wish to take up studying again… Its never enough 🙂 and hopefully be part of some TV show where I can be myself, chat, and be closer to the public and share knowledge and good practice 🙂
