Hogan at Milan Fashion Week A/W 16

I’ve often said that I tend to prefer attending presentation rather than shows during fashion week. I feel that it is possible to get closer to the outfits and see everything in more depth. Sometimes, during a catwalk show, even if you are sitting in prime position, it is a bit hard to take in the entirety of an outfit. One of my favourite presentations at Milan Fashion Week this season was the Hogan one. It interested me for many reasons – first of all, last season I made a mistake in the time and it had finished Considering I normally wait a good thirty minutes for shows to begin, I felt slightly silly, to say the least. Another reason that I find this brand really interesting is that is a very modern brand that really has a fresh, contemporary feel about it.

Their presentation was most definitely fun – a great vibe, great music, relaxed models that drank wine and interacted with each other and the audience. The clothes themselves were based on a monochrome palette, there was a slight minimalistic tone to the outfits and there was a definite sportswear influence. There were plenty of leather jackets, some exciting tuxedo jackets, cropped pants and bare ankles and platform shoes. Some striped sweaters and basic white shirts were also a strong presence. The use of a sports sweat band over the hair was an interesting accessory choice. The red lipstick and smokey eyes complemented the relaxed looks perfectly.

Sneakers have always been somewhat of a speciality for this brand and with this collection launches a new special edition sneaker shoe win white, black, gold and silver.
