It used to be the case that during July and August no event invitations popped into my mailbox, my wardrobe consisted of swimwear and various pairs of shorts. Not in 2018. The events have continued and for the most part, I’m delighted. I attended the Bvlgari event last week in Malta and it really was a highlight. Reasons – 1. Verdala Palace, I could visit this gorgeous building every weekend and I wouldn’t get tired of it. 2. Bvlgari, a brand that is synonymous with the word luxury and places quality & attention to detail at the forefront of its designs.

Two historical facts. The first ever Bvlgari shop was opened in Rome on Via Sistina in 1884 and it focused on jewellery, silver mainly. The famous Serpenti watch bracelets were first introduced in the ’40s, this was the first item to be launched from the iconic collection. Today, the collection encompasses a wide variety of both female and male jewellery crafted out of different metals including diamonds and other gemstones. The leather goods collection is also fabulous. I’ve had my mind set on owning one of their divine handbags for a while now. When I do make the purchase, I’m pretty sure it will be from the Serpenti forever range.
My Outfit
My outfit for the night included my two favourite Bvlgari pieces – a necktie and brooch and leather cuff bracelet. I tried on about 5 different outfits before settling on this one because the length of the necktie doesn’t work with many different cuts, a strapless option was, therefore,the best fit.
