It never ceases to amaze me that even after having lived on this little rock for 33 years, I still find new corners to explore. The Phoenicia Hotel isn’t really a new venue, the hotel is an institution at this point but I’ve never had an event in this little neck of their garden, with this amazing view of bastions, pool and harbour yet nestled in greenery. 

‘Garden Chic’ was the dress code stated on the invite which in my head translated to a pretty dress; no heels, it’s on a lawn for another recommendation – wedges it is. This is my first blog post owning red hair so it definitely deserves a bit of a mention. I never thought I’d ever have chosen this colour, it was an impulse moment whilst sitting on the chair at Toni&Guy looking at hair samples. I am in love with it though, it looks good on both straight and curly hair and the colour doesn’t wash out my skin. It might get to be a keeper.

The food was absolutely delicious and all mainly using fresh, local produce
