At Corinthia St George’s Bay, they’ve created the ultimate couple experience – an afternoon at the spa. It used to be hard for me to convince the hubby to join me at the spa but then he discovered just how wonderful a good massage treatment can be. Nowadays, if it were up to him we’d go every weekend.
I decided to spend an afternoon with the hubby getting pampered – we arrived at about 2 in the afternoon, we spent the first hour chilling in the actual spa, there’s a lovely indoor pool and jacuzzi in a gorgeous serene environment. The service was excellent and upon arrival, we were immediately given locker keys, bathrobes and slippers. We had a couples massage treatment booked at 3, once the room and the therapists were ready we were shown to the room and asked for our preference as to the of massage we desired. I asked for one with some deep pressure whilst the hubby went for pure relaxation. The massage treatment was an hour long and absolutely perfect.
After the treatment was over we were served some tea and dried fruits and nuts. Then came the second part of the spa experience – high tea. We were served next to the terrace, pool views, sun streaming in through the windows and a lovely temperature setting which was warm but not stuffy. The tea consisted of sandwiches, scones and lots of yummy cakes.
